Apple

Apple is a computer software development firm, based in Cupertino. Apple is responsible for many products, including Macintosh Computers, Ipod, and the iPhone.

Early History

Apple originally found success by making and selling the original Apple PC, and later the Macintosh and Lisa. The Lisa and the Macintosh were two of the earliest companies to sell consumer level PCs pre-installed with a GUI. The GUI, was inspired and arguably stolen from Xerox.
